The Payoff began as a series of notes written down while playing a popular video game with a group of friends. The conversations that occured and the in-game actions that they often fueled, had each and everyone involved rolling in laughter in their respective homes. Creating a comic based on these players and their conversations only seemed like the appropriate direction. Thus the Payoff was created.
